"...Instagram has specified that violent, graphic/shocking, sexually suggestive, misinformation and spam content can be deemed “non-recommendable” and therefore won’t appear on Explore or hashtag pages".
Content is now classified as recommendable (visible in # search and visible in recommended), non-recommendable (is not visible by # search and is not showing in recommended) or violating (gets removed straight ahead).
"...This all makes sense when it comes to clickbait, false news and harassment, which no one wants on Facebook or Instagram".
However, where is the borderline that determines if the content is desirable or not, offensive or abusive, taking into consideration lack of rules & regulations and poor algorithms? It is not difficult to oversee the overall impact this will have to the advertisers and their fans. Very questionable concept and needs further work.
